Ronald Gayle Baker, December 30, 1934 - November 1, 2011. Ronald Gayle Baker, 76, of Waxahachie, Texas (originally from Grant's Lick, KY) was called home on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Ron died peacefully in his home in the company of his loving wife, Bonnie, and his children Vanessa, Rhonda, Tanya and Ronnie. Ronald was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Harley and Marie Baker, Granté�s Lick, KY, and sister Margie Gray, Grant's Lick, KY. Ronald touched the lives of many. His zest for life, strong faith and kindness to all who had the pleasure of meeting him will always be remembered. Roné�s loving smile and jolly laugh will never be silenced. Ronald's great loves in life were spending time with his family, attending church and Sunday school, camping, fishing, watching the Price is Right, BBQ competitions, telling very silly jokes (some of them actually funny), making people smile and living life to its fullest. Ronald was a Deacon at The Avenue Baptist Church in Waxahachie, TX. Ronald retired from Consolidated Freightways after 20+ years of service and was the owner of R&S Auto Sales, Reagor Springs, TX. Ronald was survived by Bonnie Baker, his loving wife of 54 years and the true apple of his eye; Daughter Vanessa and husband Steve Graham of Reagor Springs, TX; daughter Rhonda and husband Gary Orzali, Taylor Mill, KY; daughter Tanya Curtis and David Sam, Reagor Springs, TX; son Ronnie and wife Michelle Baker, The Colony, TX; Grandchildren Deena and husband Michael Harvanek, Dallas, TX; Angela Orzali, Covington, KY; Anthony Orzali, Taylor Mill, KY; Scott Curtis and wife Melissa, Palestine, TX; Kevin Ferrell and Michelle Crandall, Longmont, CO; Heather Walter, Italy, TX; Christopher Walter, Italy, TX; Brittany Curtis; Brandie Leslie, Mesquite, TX; Trevor Leslie, Dallas, TX; Spencer Leslie, The Colony, TX; Keith Long, The Colony, TX; Lilliana Long, The Colony, TX; Great Grandchildren Ella Harvanek, Dallas, TX; Hayes Harvanek, Dallas, TX; Chantyva Orzali, Covington, KY; Josiah Orzali, Covington, KY; Christiana Murray, Covington, KY; Zachary Curtis, Palestine, TX; Aniya McEntyre, Mesquite, TX; Ethan Ferrell, Longmont, CO. The family wishes to thank their immediate and extended families, as well as their wonderful friends for their love and support over the past months and especially during this difficult time. Special thanks also goes out to Dr. Patty Powell, Dr. Karen Klatte, Dr. Shetty, Dr. Ausloos, the Fresenius Dialysis Center and their staffs. In addition, the family would like to thank Jim Caldwell, Meaghan Hutchins and Lighted Pathways Hospice. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 4, in the chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. Burial will take place in Grant's Lick, Kentucky.
