Ronald C. Almand, age 59

Mr. Almand passed away Thursday at the Baylor Medical Center, Waxahachie.He was born in Waxahachie to Clarence and Deloris (Calhoun) Almand and attended Waxahachie schools. Mr. Almand served in the US Army, being stationed in Germany. He and Patsy McRae were married October 27, 1978. He had been an independent trucker during his adult life. Mr. Almand was a hard worker, full of life, and he loved his grandkids.
He was of the Methodist faith.

His survivors include: his wife, Patsy Almand of Milford; mother, Deloris Calhoun Almand of Waxahachie; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Angie Almand of Waxahachie; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Michael Wilkins of Italy, brother and sister-in-law, James and Beverly Presly Almand of Waxahachie; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Charles Ashmore of Garland; and grandchildren, Kyle and Jessica Wilkins, David, Allison, Meagan and Jack Almand. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Almand in 2004.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Saturday at the Italy Chapel, 161 W Main, Italy, Tx. 76651. The Celebration of Life will be 4PM Sunday, July 16, 2006 also in the Italy Chapel with Jim Coone of the Ellis County Cowboy Church officiating. Pallbearers will be Ricky Joe McRae, Sam Whitten, Marcus Baxter, John Kiemle, Melvin Christian, Patrick Almand and James Almand. Interment will follow in the Italy Cemetery.
