Roger Ratliff

Roger D. Ratliff, 73 of Waxahachie, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 in a Dallas hospital. He was born to the late Luther and Jimmie Leggett Ratliff on November 28, 1938 in Bethel, KY. Roger loved working with his hands and building things. He enjoyed working with antiques and was a machinist by trade. He owned and operated Ratliff Machine Works in Dallas. He enjoyed all of his buddies coming into the shop and drinking coffee, while solving all the problems of the world. He is survived by his daughters, Tiffany Thompson of MN and Memory Davis of Denver Colorado; his sister, Nancy Lyons of Kentucky; his sister-in-laws, Virginia Ratliff of Bethel, Kentucky and Vicky Ratliff of Midlothian; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Jimmie Ratliff; his brothers, Jimmy and Billy Ratliff; and also by his sister, Lucille Harris. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Red Oak Cemetery.
