Robert Taylor

Robert Leon Taylor, 80 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Thursday, January 07, 2016 in Waxahachie. He was born on September 24, 1935 in Estelle, Texas to the late John B. Jennie Lou Ottinger Taylor. Robert was the owner and operated Taylor Auto Supply in Haltom City from 1963 until the present time and served as Chairman of the AWOT from 1988-1989. Over the years he was very active in the community, he was Vice President and President of the Haltom City Lions Club, was a charter member of the Wesley Evangelical Methodist Church in Irving and Hurst, also a charter member of the Waxahachie Bible Church, where he was a greeter and very active with the Awana Club. Robert was an avid fisherman, loved Waxahachie football and baseball and was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys. In the midst of battling Alzheimers Disease, he might of lost his memory, but never lost his sense of humor or lost his love for God and family.
He is survived by his wife Janell Taylor of Waxahachie, Texas; 1 Son Daughter in Law: Mike Danielle Taylor of Trophy Club, Texas. 3 Daughters and sons in laws: Debbie Marty Hathaway of Bedford, Texas; Theresa Larry Clarkston of Irving, Texas and Cindy Scott Anderson of Waxahachie, Texas. 1 Brother: Tom Christine Taylor of Waxahachie, Texas. 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 11:30 AM Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Waxahachie Bible Church with Rev. Bruce Zimmerman officiating.
Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, Texas. Pallbearers will be John Hathaway, Robert Taylor, Justin Clarkston, Alice Arthur, Terry Taylor and Ricky Jackson. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Waxahachie Bible Church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
