Robert A. "Bob" Stiller, 78, Waxahachie resident and entrepreneur for almost half his life, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, August 22, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Born to A.W. and Esther (Wiegert) Stiller in St. Paul, Nebraska, October 14, 1927, Stiller graduated from Shawnee (Oklahoma) High School and later from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee. He served in the United States Marine Corps in China in 1946 and was later employed by Phillips Petroleum. Bob married the former Peggy Shepard of Shawnee in 1954. They raised two sons, Robert, Jr., and Randy, and remained happily married until Peggy's death in 1993. The Stillers moved to Waxahachie in 1972 where Bob and business partner Bill Pearman formed Pearman Stiller Oil and Culbertson Oil. He also was a licensed realtor and part owner of Stiller Tire Company and Stiller Investments. Bob loved golf and served on the board of the Men's Golf Association of the Waxahachie Country Club. He was a former member of the Waxahachie Rotary Club and a member of the High Point Church in Arlington. On June 14, 1997, Bob and Arlene Daniel married in Waxahachie. With his new family Bob welcomed two more children and granddaughters Jessica and Kellie Phillips, 7, delights of their Bobo's life.

Mr. Stiller is survived by his wife Arlene Daniel Stiller; children Robert A. Stiller, Jr. and wife Janeth of South Lake, Randy Stiller, Troy Willmon, and Tracy Phillips and husband Rodney, all of Waxahachie; six grandchildren, Reid Stiller of College Station, Bart Stiller of Austin, Michael Stiller of Waxahachie, Teresa Stiller of Centennial, Colorado, and Kellie and Jessica Phillips of Waxahachie; brother Don Stiller and wife Barbara of Savannah, Georgia; niece and nephew Laura Stiller of Savannah and Andrew Stiller of Portland, Oregon; and many other family members and friends.

The family of Mr. Stiller will receive friends and relatives at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and a celebration of his life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Waxahachie on Saturday, August 26, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Benton and Dr. Shane Kinnison officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Waxahachie.

Pallbearers are Don Nelson, Rodney Phillips, Andrew Stiller, Bart Stiller, Michael Stiller, Reid Stiller, and Troy Willmon. Honorary pallbearers are Ron Bowler, Jim Drivers, Don Lyday, Randall Osborn, B.W. Owens, Gene Saunders, and Clarence Wilson.
