Robert O'Daniel

Robert M. O'Daniel, aged 78, left this world October 1, 2022. Robert attended school in Avalon, Texas. He enlisted in the United States Army on January 10, 1961, stationed in Yuma Arizona, where he achieved the rank of SP4. He was honorably discharged.

While stationed in Yuma, he met the love of his life Carmen Chavez. They married on September 7, 1963, sharing 59 years of love and marriage. From that union, came three children - Matthew O'Daniel, Michelle O'Daniel Trojacek, and Michael O'Daniel along with their spouses Jo Ann O'Daniel, Henry Trojacek, and Lori O'Daniel. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Alex, Jennifer, Christopher, Alli, Seth, Sean, and Quin. Great grand children: Liam, Ethan, Rachel, Allison, and Ava.

He was preceded in death by his parents D.B. O'Daniel and Dora Viola Morgan O'Daniel, and the following siblings: Billy, Charles, Doris, Karla, and Earl. Surviving are his siblings: Ernest, Troy, Harold, Jimmy, J.B., Gerald, and Glen.

Robert was co-owner of Maverick Electric Supply of Waxahachie, Texas, which served the Ellis county and DFW areas.

He was a published author, who enjoyed telling jokes, had numerous friends, and never met a stranger. He would always help anyone in need.

Private services were held on October 6, 2022 with military honors at the Sardis Cemetery.
