Robert Lee Morgan Jr, 63, passed away at Mansfield Methodist Hospital on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 7:16 am. He was scheduled for valve replacement and a triple bypass the next morning, unfortunately his heart couldn’t hold on.
Robert was a devoted father and husband, a family man in every sense. He married Christina Goodman on February 16, 1994. They would go on to be married for the next 29 years having 8 children and 2 grandchildren before his passing.
Robert was a very friendly outgoing self-employed businessman of many talents and skills. Owning a very popular Dallas roadside fruit stand during the 90’s and early 2000’s named Rob’s Produce, once voted best in Dallas County. He later started a small construction company dealing in home renovations and carports named Built To Last. He also delivered many publications through the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and East Texas. He met many wonderful people and created many wonderful things.
In his later years he enjoyed the simpler things like raising livestock, tending to his beautiful garden, boating, grilling, coin collecting, and most importantly quality time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus. In his younger years he would preach the gospel through countless cities and states, in churches. His faith was his rock and something that he never faltered from.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Robert Lee Morgan Sr. and Evelyn Laverne Morgan, son; Adam Lee Morgan, and sister; Cindy Lee Nelson.
He Is survived by his wife; Christina Morgan, Children; Caleb Josiah Morgan, Andrew Arnold Morgan, Jacob “Bucky” Wilder Morgan, Julie Leah Morgan, Sarah Evelyn Morgan, Hennah Mae Morgan, and Rachel Lee Morgan, Grandchildren; Levi Carter Morgan and Riley Adam Morgan, Brothers; Timothy Morgan and Edward Morgan, Sister; Debbie Lynch, Brother-in-law; George Lynch, Sister-in-Law; Osamea Morgan, and Daughter-in-law; Laura Ann Morgan. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. As well as many friends.
Viewing services will be held at Wayne Boze funeral home at 3:00 pm Thursday, January 18. Funeral services start at the Wayne Boze Funeral home at 1:00 pm Friday, January 19, ending at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
