Robert Morgan of Red oak passed away at Charlton Methodist Hospital. He was born in Robinson, IL. He graduated from Ringgold High School and served with the US Marine Corps from 1945 to 1959, serving two years in Korea. He retired from Austin Road Construction.

Mr. Morgan is survived by: his wife, Betty Morgan of Red Oak; sons, Charles Melton of Knoxville, TN. and Michael Melton of Houston, TX.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Hawes.

Mr. Morgan will lie in state from noon until 5 PM Monday at the Red Oak Funeral Home and from 8 until 9 AM Tuesday morning. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM graveside services Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the Red Oak Cemetery with Reverend Howard Davis officiating. Interment will follow the service.
