Robert Marshall, age 86

Mr. Marshall passed away early Wednesday Morning at Baylor Medical Center
in Waxahachie. He was born in Newark, OH. To Paul H. and Valeria (Pickering) Marshall. Robert graduated from Newark High School and attended two years at Ohio State College. He and Eleanor Krenz were married June 14, 1946 in Newark. He was employed as an accountant for Owens Corning Fiberglass in Newark, OH in 1942 transferring to Waxahachie in 1963 as Account Manager; retiring December 31, 1982. Mr. Marshall was a member of numerous organizations in Waxahachie which included, a member of the First United Methodist Church, Fidelis Class, on numerous church committees, Assistant Treasurer, Historian and Church office volunteer. His hobbies included genealogy, golf, bird watching and traveling.
Mr. Marshall is survived by: his wife, Eleanor Krenz Marshall of Waxahachie; son and daughter-in-law, Paul E. and Diane Marshall of Duncanville; daughters, Diana M. Matlock and husband Byron of Waxahachie, and Linda V. Maddox and husband Marion of Corinth, TX.; sister, Ann Parr and husband Richard of Bethel Park, PA.; two nephews and their families; four grandchildren, Claire Jones, Addie Rose Marshall, Nathan Matlock, and Zachary Marshall; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughters, Jeannette Johnson and Janet Marshall.
The family will receive friends and relatives 5-7 PM Saturday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Sunday, January 9, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church, Waxahachie, with Dr. Richard Reed officiating. Pallbearers will be Zachary Marshall, Nathan Matlock, Ron Bowler, Melvin Loveless, Dave Reid, and Neal Freeto. Honorary Pallbearers will Gaylord Hanes and Frank McCoy. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Burial Park.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist New Organ Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
