Robert William Harder II, age 55
April 28, 1948
July 9, 2003

Mr. Harder passed away Wednesday night at Baylor Medical Center, Waxahachie. He was born to Robert William and Dorothy Marie (Barnes) Harper in Dallas. He was in the US Army for eight years. He was a truck driver. Mr. Harder was the lead singer and bass player with "The River of Life" Band, was in the Italy Opry for five years, being the founding member, and was a member of the BMI Songwriters Association. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Waxahachie.

He is survived by: his wife, Betty Harder; son and daughter-in-law, Robert William Harder III and Niki ; daughters, Roberta Diane Harder and Rob Garity, all of Waxahachie, and Bobbie Jean King and husband Bobby Joe of Palmer; brother, Phillip David Harder of Waxahachie; sister, Linda Rohmer of Cedar Hill; and grandchildren, Lea Harder and Ian King. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Saturday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Monday, July 14, 2003 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Todd Grimes officiating. Interment will follow at NOON in the DFW National Cemetery, Dallas.
