Richard Earl Wiggins passed away Friday evening at his residence. He was born in Maypearl, Texas to Ola Mae (Berry) Wiggins and George W. Wiggins. Richard was of the Baptist Faith. He worked for Tyler Refrigeration of 36 years, retiring in 1988. He married Joyce Marie Jean on October 22, 1954. Mr. Wiggins served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959, and again from 1962 to 1963. He was self employed from 1992 to 1997. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing music with his friends. Richard loved his grandchildren, his horses, dogs and cattle. Preceding him in death were three brothers; Johnny, Bobby and David Wiggins; four sisters; Nellie Bailey, Estelle Harper, Pauline Saylor and Earline Miller; and his parents.

His survivors include his wife, Joyce Wiggins of Boyce, Texas; two sons, Dwayne Wiggins and wife JoAnne, and David Wiggins and wife Debbie, both of Waxahachie; a Brother, F.C. Wiggins of Maybank, Texas and a Sister, Louise Putman and her husband Clark of Perdon, Texas. Also surviving are Grandchildren, Nicole Wiggins Davis and husband Lem, David Paul Wiggins, Kellie Wiggins, Jordyn Wiggins, along with Step Grandchildren, Tyler Buxkemper, and Brandi Wade, and a Great Grandchild, Madison Wiggins.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6-8 PM Monday, January 23rd at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10 AM, Tuesday, January 24th in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Gary Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Butch Sims, David Anthony, Charles Collins, Randy Townley, Don Trull and Jim Miller.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
