Mr. Richard Morris, 66, passed away Friday, December 4th, 2009 while in the company of family members at his residence in Waxahachie.

Richard was born in Brownwood, Texas to Carl Morris and Doris (Gordon) Lawson. He graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1961 and attended Navarro Jr. College in Corsicana. He married Peggy Lopez-Louvier, April 12, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada and was the Shipping Manager for Empress Hair Products of Dallas. Richard was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Waxahachie.

Richard is survived by; his loving wife Peggy of Waxahachie; his daughter Missy Gilbert and her husband Billy of Royce City; his son Rick Morris of Allen; his step-daughter Tonya Louviere of Irving, 5 grandchildren; Ashley and Jason Homan, Becca Gilbert, James Gilbert, Austin Morris, Brandon Sears and one great grandson Eli. Also surviving are 2 brothers; Edward Morris and his wife Becky of Farmersville, Charlie Morris and his wife Linda of North Richland Hills; one sister Betty Keenan and husband Phillip of Montgomery, Texas; several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Bill Morris.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 7 to 9 PM Monday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the Bible Baptist Church 1400 FM 1446 in Waxahachie with Brother Todd Grimes officiating. Interment will follow in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Robert Lester, Danny Morgan, Glenn Stoffregen, Rick Morris, Billy Gilbert, and James Gilbert. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon Sears, Austin Morris and Becca Gilbert.
