Mr. King passed away at Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie Saturday night. He was born in Duncan, OK. to Richard William and Ila (Jones) King, Jr. Dick retired from Dresser Industries as Vice President of International Marketing. He graduated from Duncan High School and attended SMU. He served in the US Coast Guard during WWII and in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed golf and OU football. He was of the Methodist faith.

Mr. King is survived by: the mother of his children, Liz King of Dallas; sons and their wives, Richard W. King and Donna of Waxahachie and Fred and Leslie King of Houston; daughters and their husbands, Kris and Jack Hughes of Dallas, and Ashley and Mike Bohanon of The Woodlands, TX.; brother, Cham King and his wife Beverly of Spring, TX.; grandchildren, Angela, Logan, Amelia, Colby, Shelby and Lexi; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be 2 PM Saturday, August 7, 2004 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Karen Griffith officiating. His cremains will be placed in a niche at a later date at the DFW National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
