Richard Kee, longtime resident of Waxahachie, Texas went to be with the Lord on September 05, 2011. He was a 5th generation Texan, born January 08, 1929 in Fort Worth, Texas. Richard loved his family, a Southern Baptist and active member of the Community Life Church in Waxahachie. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bobbie Cason Kee, Son Kenneth Kee, wife Terry of Tyler, granddaughter Courtney Mannino and husband Gary of Cypress, Texas and grandson Jeremy Kee of Austin. Son Kevin Kee, wife Jenny and granddaughter Caytlin Kee of Deer Park, Texas. Son Keith Kee, wife Bobbie Sue and granddaughter Paige Kee of Waxahachie, Texas. Richard was a talented athlete who played baseball on state championship teams in 1945, 1946 and 1947 at Adamson High School. He was an all city, all state second baseman- outfielder in each of those seasons and received a baseball scholarship to Baylor University. He was a patriot who proudly served in Korea as part of the Fortieth Infantry Division. After returning from Korea, Richard has a distinguished career as an accountant at Gulf Oil, Chevron and Barrand Inc. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM, at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gideon's International or a charity of choice.
