Richard Carmichael

Richard A. Carmichael of Red Oak, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 in Mansfield. He was born January 7, 1962 in Wichita, KS. Richard was known as Rick to his friends and family. He was a missionary to Taiwan, Indonesia and Singapore. He worked as a teacher and school principal and his passion was to see people come to know the love of Christ. Rick was a devoted husband, son and brother and will be missed by so many who knew him and love him. He is survived by his wife, Gemma Carmichael; his dad and mom, Donald and Lou Ann Carmichael; his brothers, Donald and Brian Carmichael; his sisters, Cathy, Lisa and Christina; his nieces, Sara, Abigail and Sadee; his nephew, Nicholas; his aunts, Cathy and Linda; his uncle, John; and his cousins, LaVonna, Dan and Robin. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Encounter Church with Pastor Brian Treadaway officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the church and will last until service time.
