Rhonda Beard

Rhonda Lynn Beard of Waxahachie, Texas was born on October 20, 1960.  She went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 13, 2018, after a 2 month battle with septic shock.  Although very petite, the doctors and nurses that cared for Rhonda stated that she fought this illness like a warrior.

Rhonda was creative and enjoyed decorating her home and landscaping her large yard.  She was actively involved in the Waxahachie 1Twenty2 Ministries sharing the gospel and caring for the needs of those in her community.   Her heart for God and those around her was huge.  Even though her resources were limited it was common for her to reach out to those in need with food, clothing and other essentials.  She believed in being the hands and feet of Christ.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Robert Whisenant and son Uriah Beard.  She is survived in death by her mother, Mary Whisenant of Waxahachie, Texas; a son Shawn Beard of Bryan, Texas; a son Blake Beard of Cleburne, Texas; a granddaughter, Makayla Beard of Sherman, Texas and a sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Kevin Corbeil of Maypearl, Texas; and her son’s father Clarence Beard of Cedar Hill, Texas.

Services celebrating Rhonda’s life will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral, with Dr. Bobby Haney and Rev. Wayne Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow at Waxahachie City Cemetery  in Waxahachie, TX.  Friends and family are invited for a time of visitation Friday, December 21, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. .
