Raymond Keith Osborn, age 72

November 19, 2003

Raymond Osborn, 72 years old, passed away on Wednesday, November 19 at his home. Mr. Osborn was born in Howard, TX. to Sid and Ruth (Cox) Osborn on March 2, 1931. He was a lifelong resident of Ellis County. Mr. Osborn was an Air Force Veteran during the Korean War and was a retired Postmaster of Waxahachie. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge for thirty nine years and was a member of Ferris Avenue Baptist Church.

He married Janet Barnes of Ennis on August 7, 1951. They were blessed with two daughters, Donna and Debbie, both of Waxahachie.

He is survived by: his wife, Janet; two daughters and their husbands, Donna and Steve Wilson and Debbie and John Jarvis of Waxahachie; three granddaughters, Melissa McWhorter. April Wilson and Brianne Jarvis, all of Waxahachie; one grandson, Walker Jarvis, also of Waxahachie; two brothers, Randall Osborn of Waxahachie and James Osborn of Spring, TX.; five sisters, Esther Scott of Mesquite, Laura Nelson and her husband Charlie of Irving, Martha Powell of Ennis, Carolyn Ward and her husband Bill of Italy and Virginia Osborn of Malakoff. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, four brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Friday, November 21, 2003 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor David Brown and Brother Corey Hinds of Ferris Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers will be Bill Hurn, D. J. DeJong, Keith Osborn, Charlie Osborn, Randy Lewis, George Pruitt, and Kenneth Dillard. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Boyd, Kels Lowry, Horace Bratcher, Forrest Kelsey, Chili Forbes, Weldon Booher, Don Morlock, and Lewis Dawson. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery, Ennis, TX.

Memorials may be made to the Men's Downtown Bible Class or the Ferris Avenue Baptist Church.
He is loved and will be missed.
