Randi Christy, 65 of Waxahachie, Texas, formerly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away
Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born to the late William D. & Doris E. Kiekhaefer Gerretson on February 8, 1942 in Denver, Colorado.
Randi was a member of Farley Street Baptist Church where she enjoyed Bible study and being involved in church activities. She also enjoyed book clubs and playing pinochle. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Randi had a special place in her heart for the disabled. Her nursing career included working with developmentally Disabled clients at Cheyenne Village, Manitou Springs, Colorado, and as a school nurse. Her
kindness and love that she showed to so many will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Keith Christy of Waxahachie; her son, David Christy and his wife, Susan of Easton, CT; her daughter, Dana Tittle and her husband, Alan of Midlothian; and her sister, Julie DeCola of Denver, CO; 6 wonderful grandchildren, Morgan Christy, Harrison Christy, Christy Tittle, Jacob Tittle, Cody Tittle and Austin Tittle.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Gerretson.
Services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2007 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie, with Rev. Richard Smith officiating.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Fairmount Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Harrison Christy, Jacob Tittle, Cody Tittle, and Austin Tittle.
