Pierce Padgett, Jr. age 77

Mr. Padgett passed away Friday afternoon at the Baylor Medical Center, Waxahachie, Texas. He was born April 29, 1930 in Waxahachie.

Mr. Padgett is survived by his wife Wilma (Durham) Padgett; stepdaughter Lisa Durham, step granddaughter Denise Durham of Waxahachie; stepson Robert Durham and wife Tammy; step grandson Lee Durham of Decatur and Chelsey of Waxahachie. Also surviving are two half sisters and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Padgett was the Master Mason of Grand Lodge, Waxahachie No. 90 in 2005. He was with the Ellis County Sheriff's department and later became Chief of Police for Waxahachie where he served for 25 years. He retired in 1990. Mr. Padgett was in the Texas National Guard, 49th Division. Pierce was a big man with a very kind and gentle heart. He will loved by all and will truly be missed .

The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, June 17th from 6 to 8 PM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Graveside service is scheduled for Monday, June 18, 2 PM, at Waxahachie City Cemetery with Dr. Shane Kinnison officiating.
