Philip Ray Trees, 89 of Red Oak, Texas passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 in Red Oak, Texas. Philip was born on April 03, 1926 in Ovilla, Texas to the late R.P. Gladys Ryan Trees. After high school, he served in the U S Navy during WWII. He was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Red Oak, Texas. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him and loved him.
He is survived by one son: Richard Trees of Red Oak, Texas; 2 Brothers: Jimmy Trees and Von Trees; Four Grandchildren: Lance Trees, Joshua Karen Trees, Brittani Bryant and Amanda Trull. 10 Great Grandchildren: Hagen Trull, Brooklyn Corley, MacKenzie Stringfield, Ricky Pete Costillo, Jaydin Costillo, Zachery Costillo, Blake Trees, Rushton Trees, Elizabeth Trees and Bryan Corley; 3 Great Great Grandchildren: Logan Stringfield, Bentley Trees and Gracelyn Messerschmidt. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Billie Trees, 2 Sons: Billy Ray Trees and Roger Allen Trees, Brother: Randall Trees; Sisters: Elizabeth Brown, Mary Hobbs, Melba Doan, Wanda Hazard and Louetta Bailey.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, February 04, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Red Oak, Texas. Interment will follow at Trees Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 03, 2016 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
