Peggy Yates

Peggy J. Wheatley Yates, 76, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at her residence, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born March 5, 1934 in Bardwell, Texas to Riley Herbert and Sarah Theta Wheatley. Peggy married Ralph O. Yates on November 27, 1970 in Waxahachie, Texas. She was an X-ray technician for almost 40 years. Peggy was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Waxahachie. Peggy is survived by her husband Ralph, daughter, Terri and son-in-law, David Presley of Waxahachie; granddaughters, Sarah and Carlee Presley of Waxahachie; her sister, Lois Ann and her husband, Jerry Alphin of Keller; her brother, Pat and his wife, Linda Wheatley of Waxahachie; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Herbert Wayne Wheatley; her grandson, Clinton Derrick; also by her much adored little dog, Lady Bug. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Billy Herald Wheatley and Jerry Alphin officiating.
