On July 14th, 2024, Peggy Mason Hightower departed from her earthly home to dwell in the arms of Jesus Christ.
At age 89, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and faithful friend to all who were blessed to know her.
As a born-again Christian, Peggy declared that her life on earth was solely an avenue to her eternal home in Heaven. A gathering of those who preceded her in death include: father, Elbert Mason; mother, Pauline Mason; sister, Carolyn Gist; brother, Jimmy Mason; cousin, Darrell Strength; and grandparents John and Nettie Strength (better known as Ma and Pa).
Peggy is survived by her husband of seventy-three years, Rusty Hightower; daughters Kay Hogle and husband Hogye; Glenda Kyle and husband David; grandchildren Angie Foster and husband Rusty, and Shaye Hogle; great-grandchildren Ava and Cade Foster, brother John Mason and wife Lynda; cousin James Strength and wife Linda.
Pallbearers comprise of Alvin Sims, Billy Robinson, Boone Reitz, Lloyd White, Reggie Underwood, and Robert Miller.
Peggy’s memory will linger with the many who know and love her. A celebration of life will include a visitation from 2:00-3:00 P.M. and a funeral service directly following at the Cowboy Church of Ellis County, Waxahachie, Texas on Friday, July 19, 2024.
