Mrs. Peggy Jean Haney, age 73
January 26, 1932
July 27, 2005

Mrs. Haney passed away Wednesday evening at her Waxahachie residence. She was born in Mangum, OK. to William Judson and Ethel Alma (Rowan) Hunter. She graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1948 and married Kenneth Haney February 2, 1951 in Waxahachie. From high school until 1949 she worked for Bill Baker Insurance. She was employed in 1949 with Southland Life Insurance. From 1969 to 1984, they lived in Maryland; in 1984 they moved to Cedar Hill, TX., then to Waxahachie in 1997. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Haney's hobbies were working crossword puzzles, reading, traveling and working her flower garden. She was raised in the Church of Christ.

She is survived by: her husband of 54 years, Kenneth Haney of Waxahachie; mother, Ethel Alma Hunter, also of Waxahachie; sons, Kevin Paul Haney of Thurmont, MD, Kyle Adam Haney of Waxahachie; and sister-in-law, Betty Hunter of Waxahachie. She was preceded in death by her father, William Judson Hunter, and brother, Billy Jack Hunter.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Friday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of her Life will be at 10 AM graveside services Saturday, July 30, 2005, at Red Oak Cemetery with Reverend Bob Rainey officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Hunter, Greg Blankenship, Clay Blankenship, Frank Ruspoli, Milton Schwanz, and J. B. Sims. Interment will follow.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
