Pearl Muirhead

Pearl Muirhead, 93 February 4, 1918 September 6, 2011 Mrs. Muirhead passed away Tuesday evening at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie. Mrs. Muirhead was born in Waxahachie, Texas to Tom B. and Pearl (Barksdale) Hosford. She graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1936 and Married JC Muirhead, April 7, 1942 in Mineral Wells, Texas. She was a longtime member of Farley Street Baptist Church and had been employed with the Ellis County Clerks office. She had also been employed in Custodial Service with the Midlothian ISD. She was a beautiful, sweet, loving, thoughtful and overall amazing woman of God. She was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother loving her family. She loved the Lord and was devoted to her family. Pearl is survived by: 3 daughters; Pearlita Price and her husband Walter of Bedias, Tx, Caye Pratt and her husband Allan of Rockdale, TX., Sharon Hendrickson and her husband Tommy of Midlothian, 2 sons; David Muirhead and his wife Glenda of Waxahachie, Henry Muirhead and his wife Sally of Lavon, TX., 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Also Surviving is her brother Buddy Hosford and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are; her parents, her husband J.C., 1 son Jay, 1 sister Mary Betsy Sharp, 1 brother Tom B Hosford Jr., 1 granddaughter Tricia, 1 great granddaughter Hannah. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 9, 2011 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Brother Richard Smith Officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. The family suggest that memorials be made to the Farley Street Baptist Church Building Fund.
