Payton Mccarty

February 28, 1990 — November 4, 2016

Payton McCarty, 26 of Grandview, formerly of Maypearl, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 in Dallas. He was born in Amarillo on February 28, 1990.

Payton was a brilliant craftsman. He was creative, inventive, and passionate about his many trades. He loved riding his motorcycle that he customized to all his specifications. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family being outdoors. If you had seen him inside, it's only to be watching his beloved Sooners, for he was a die-hard OU fan. He was known to his family and friends as the "grill master," but also thoroughly enjoyed cooking, especially breakfast foods. Payton loved his wife and children with a fierce, protective love. He was a friend to many, always willing to help out wherever there was a need. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

Payton was a loving husband and father; combat Veteran and hero to all. Payton was the most passionate man we have ever known. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13
