Mr. Wooley was born in Peeltown (Ellis Co.) to Bud and Lollie (Ballard) Wooley. He graduated from Palmer High School and served with the US Army in South Africa and Italy 1939-1945. Paul married Naomi Ruth Neal April 14, 1942 in Palmer. Paul was employed as produce manager for Safeway for thirty four years. He was a member of the Ferris Heights United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing and all sports. Paul was a soldier, husband, father, grandfather and a good friend who was loved and will be missed.

He is survived by: his wife of 62 years Ruth, of Waxahachie; three sons, Mike Wooley and his wife Angie of Grand Prairie, Joe Wooley and his wife Sheri of Conroe, Butch Wooley of Clifton; two daughters, Judy Merrell and Pat McDonald both of Waxahachie; one sister Jewel Griffith of Waxahachie; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Monday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Tuesday, December 2, 2003 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with Brother John Shipman officiating. Interment will follow in the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
