Paul H. Schermerhorn, 71 of Rockett, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, October 17, 2007. He was born on November 27, 1935 in Dallas, Texas.
Paul loved to play golf and travel on his motorcycle throughout the United States and Mexico. He was a veteran of the United States Marines and was a truck driver for Schneider National. Paul enjoyed Nascar races and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Schermerhorn of Rockett; daughter, Sara Margaret Schermerhorn of Palmer; and 2 aunts, Margaret David of Livingston, Paula Ackerley of Farmers Branch.
Preceded in death by his father, Walter D. Schermerhorn; mother, Gene H. Blank Morehead; and grandmother, Margaret Blank.
Memorial services to celebrate Paul's life are scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2007 at the Rockett Christian Church in Rockett with Rev. C. D. Haun officiating.

Services are being conducted under the arrangements of Red Oak Funeral Home, Red Oak, Texas.
