Mrs. Johnston passed away Thursday at Select Specialty Hospital in Desoto.

Mrs. Johnston was born in Breckenridge, Texas to Roy L and Nettie B (Harris) Potter. She graduated from Cisco High School and was a telephone operator with Southwestern Bell for 27 years until her retirement. She has been a resident of Duncanville for 37 years and for the past 4 years has lived with her daughter in Midlothian. She was a member of the Rolling Hills Baptist Church of Lancaster.

Survivors include: her daughter Tonya Koopman and her husband Patrick and their two children Patricia and Brandon of Midlothian, two sons; Anthony L Potter of Duncanville, Tommy Johnston of Richardson, The father of her children Jim Tom Johnston of Forreston, one brother Robert Potter and his wife Mary Anne of Dallas, two sisters; Sherry Gallagher of Waxahachie, Doris Walker and her husband Dave of Abiline.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers; Donald and Alvin Potter, and one sister Lois Walker.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Sunday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of her Life will be 2 PM Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.
