Patsy George Howland, 80, of Duncanville, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008. She was born to the late Marcus Ralph & Marie Scarborough George on March 6, 1928 in LChillecothe, Texas.
Patsy was a resident of Duncanville for 25 years and was a member of the Duncanville Church of Christ. She loved her profession, an accountant, and completing her last clients tax return on April 15th of this year. After raising four children she completed her education receiving her Bachelors degree at the age of 45 from East Texas State University in Commerce. She was an avid gardener and has a beautiful garden that everyone enjoyed admiring. She was a mentor to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She taught all of her children and grandchildren accounting and how to balance their check books. Patsy loved her family and was very devoted to them. She so enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with them. Patsy touched so many lives and she will be missed by so many who dearly loved her.
She is survived by her son, William H. Howland and his wife, Diana of Houston, her daughter, Carla Stevenson and her husband, Dale of Waxahachie, her son, Marc G. Howland and his wife, Susan of Ft. Worth, and her daughter, Debbie H. Wojcik and her husband, Fred of Estes Park, CO. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tammy Hill and her husband, Mark of Ovilla, Michael Howland and his wife, Kara of Fayettville, NC, Christopher Howland & Yalda Sharif of Los Angeles, CA, Lakey Elkins and her husband, DaWayne of Red Oak, Marcus Howland of Garland, Jessica Maguire and her husband, Mike of Dennis, MA; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Duncanville Church of Christ with Maurice Neatherly and D. A. Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Little Bethel Cemetery in Duncanville.
Visitation with the family will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Duncanville Church of Christ and will last until service time.
