Patrick Allen Gorman

Patrick Allen Gorman, 89, passed away on August 8, 2023 in Waxahachie, Texas. Funeral services will be held on August 15, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the Cowboy Church of Ellis County located at 2374 U.S. 287 Access Road, Waxahachie, Texas. Interment will immediately follow the service at Wortham Cemetery in Wortham, Texas. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 6:00 - 8:00  p.m. with the family at Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 W. Hwy 287 Business in Waxahachie. Pat was born July 6, 1934 to Dawn (Humphreys) and Mark Ward Gorman in Wortham, Texas. He married Connie Beth Willard on June 26, 1959. Pat retired from the Dallas Independent School District in 2002 where he taught math, was the P. E. teacher and coach at Lelia P. Cowart Elementary School in Dallas for 10 years before moving into Administration for the district. He served in the U. S. Army and graduated from North Texas State University. Pat enjoyed traveling and camping with his family and friends, working around his farm, playing sports and coaching little league baseball. He also loved to hunt and fish with his boys. Pat and Connie were instrumental in starting and working at Bethlehem Revisited in Waxahachie and together helped serve for 10 years assisting at the Midlothian HS Christmas Dinner Theater, building sets, making costumes and helping the kids serve the meals. Pat served as elder, deacon and usher in several churches over the years and was always faithful to attend church with his family. He is a faithful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be deeply missed. Pat is preceded in death by his wife, Connie, both parents and his sister, Louise Barnett. Pat is survived by his sons, Mark Gorman and his wife, Kelly of Maypearl, Bruce Gorman of Maypearl; grandchildren, Geoff Gorman and his wife Alex of Ennis, Shelby Gorman and Lilly Gorman, both of Lake Dallas, granddaughter Ashley Weese of Frisco and great grandson, Grayson Schwartz- Gorman and numerous nieces and nephews.
