Patrick Lee Daugherty, 71 of Waxahachie, TX. passed away on November 11, 2014 at Pleasant Manor Rehab Center. He was born April 12, 1943 in Mattoon, IL.to Roger and Zola Daugherty. Patrick graduated from Mattoon High School, 1961. He married Dianne Violet Shaffer of Paxton, IL. on September 8, 1968. Patrick lived and worked in East Central Illinois, Waxahachie, TX, and Birmingham, AL. He also worked for Command Alkon for 22 years as a Computer Technician. He was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church of Waxahachie. He was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. He is survived by wife Dianne, son John, wife Bonnie, and grandchildren Rachel & Joshua, son Paul & wife Mikie; sister in law Gloria; niece Patricia, and nephews Mike, Pete, and Roger; longtime best friend Bill Saunders, and wife Kathy; cousin David & Sarah Reed of Charleston, IL. He was preceded in death by parents Roger and Zola, and brother Michael Daugherty. A Memorial service to be held at First Baptist Church of Waxahachie Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Building Fund for First Baptist Church of Waxahachie. 315 N. Rogers St. Waxahachie, TX. 75165.
