Patricia Darlene Younts (Mimi) passed away peacefully at her home in the presence of her loving family on January 17, 2025. Pat was born February 3, 1944 in Clovis, New Mexico to John B. Blake and Gladys G. Eason Blake. Pat’s family would later move to the Dallas area where she met and married the only love of her life, Milton L. Younts (Chuck), in Dallas on March 25, 1960. Pat later graduated from Adamson High School in 1961. Soon after marrying Chuck, Pat began work and would eventually retired from Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX. Pat and Chuck later moved to Desoto where they raised three children and started a family grocery business in 1982. They were members of the Calvary Baptist Church of Desoto and were currently at The Oaks Fellowship of Red Oak. Pat and Chuck moved to Waxahachie, TX in 1999 where she resided.
Pat is preceded in death by: husband of 47 years, Chuck; parents, John and Gladys Blake; brothers, Gilbert and Johnnie Blake; sisters, Maryanna (Pepper) Parmer, Louise (Bean) Janes, Bobbie McDonald, Joyce Thompson and Ida Hallmark. Pat is survived by: sons, Dirk L. Younts and wife Cynthia of Midlothian, Jeffrey Younts of Georgetown; daughter, Carrie Cockerham and husband Timothy of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Dirk M. Younts, Aubrey Aldaz and husband Johnny, Bradley Younts and wife Jessica, Sarah Younts, Meagan Younts, Spencer Cockerham and wife Lauren, Trevor Cockerham, Ashlee and husband Clayton Henderson; 10 great-grandchildren as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Mimi’s Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 10 AM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home Chapel, 1826 W Hwy 287 Business, Waxahachie, TX 75165 with Dr. Rick Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dirk M. Younts, Bradley Younts, Spencer Cockerham, Trevor Cockerham, Kord Hickson and Johnny Aldaz.
