Patricia, Pat to everyone who knew her, was the daughter of Roy and Buelah Adams of Van Alstyne, Texas. She was born in Collin county and graduated from Van Alstyne High School at 16. After graduation she moved to Fort Worth and attended secretarial school and was soon employed. She met her future husband, Bill Naylor, on a blind date. They were married April 21, 1946.
She was an avid reader, a love she passed on to her children. Pat also kept a journal of her thoughts, activities and plans almost every day of her adult life.
Pat was always involved in her church. In 1958 the Naylor family moved their membership to First Baptist Church, Waxahachie, where many happy occasions were attended and celebrated. Both daughters were married there, and Pat and Bill celebrated 50 years of marriage with a reception in fellowship hall.
Pat was the Mother to three children, Terry, Paulette, and Kathy. They loved her deeply and respected the example she set. Her children were shown how to be kind, loving, and forgiving in an often-harsh world.
Pat is survived by her daughter Paulette Rook and husband Steve, daughter Kathy Johnston and husband Bobby, Daughter-in-law Trish Naylor. Grandchildren Gary Brown and wife Lacy, Chris Rook, Emily Tackett and husband Chad, Killian Philipson and husband Brad, and Foster Naylor and wife Halie.
