Patricia Louise Lucas

Patricia Louise Rickard Lucas passed on December 8, 2024, at the age of 80. She was born August 30, 1944, in Mexia, TX to Mack & Bertie Rickard. She enjoyed puzzling, reading, needle point, coloring, and most of all her kids, grandkids, great, and great-great grandkids, and family. She was the best mom, friend, and grandma to all of her grandkids and her adopted grandkids. She was a homemaker who ran after her husband, kids, grandkids, family & friends’ kids, and rodeo kids when her children participated in high school rodeo. 

“Pat” as she was known to all family and friends, married Don Lucas on July 23, 1962. They then had 2 children, Donnie and wife Lauri of Waxahachie and Betty and husband Jason of Waxahachie. She has 4 surviving siblings: John, Jackie, Jim, and Darla; she has 7 surviving grandkids: Brandie, Donnie, Justin, Tiffany, Skylar, Wyatt, and Rylan; she has 16 surviving great-great grandkids: Kaylee, Kenzie, Annsley, Kenadie, Kaden, Ryleigh, Axel, Harper, Dawson, Lively, Cason, Rhilynn, Braylee, Alexis, Trey, Kayden, and Kolten, and several great-great-great grandkids and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and such good family friends. She was preceded in death by husband Don, grandson Dalton, parents Mack & Bertie, and sister Helen. 

The family will receive friends and relatives 6 pm-8 pm, Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The celebration of life will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Jerry Bloomfield officiating. Pallbearers will be Donnie Lucas, Justin Lucas, Wyatt Lucas, Shawn Lucas, Chris Oliphant, and Tommy Oliphant. Burial will be at Venus Memorial Park Cemetery in Venus, TX.
