Patricia Copeland

Patricia Copeland, 46 of Venus, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born to Paul and Jacqueline Johansen on June 24, 1965 in Brooklyn, New York. Tricia loved horses, team penning and the outdoors. She loved grooming dogs and had a great love for many animals. She enjoyed playing soccer and softball and loved spending time with her family. Tricia will be missed by so many who loved her dearly. She is survived by her husband, Chad Copeland of Venus; her daughters, Lauren Wright and Johnny Stanton of Venus, Victoria Underwood and her husband, Riley of Waxahachie, Courtney Webster of Venus, Ala Copeland of Venus; her mother, Jacqueline Johansen; her sisters, Maryellen McElroy of Austin, Jacquie Aylmer of Houston, Elizabeth Harris of Midlothian, Barbara Limberg of Midlothian; her brothers, Paul Johansen of Midlothian, John Johansen of Melissa, Thomas Johansen Garland, Mark Johansen of Duncanville and Peter Johansen of Midlothian; her grandchildren, Cheyan Underwood of Waxahachie, Catilina Stanton of Venus, and her unborn grandchild, Colter Stanton; she is also survived by numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Johansen. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Cowboy Church of Ellis County with Rev. Gary Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2011 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
