Pansy Lee Pinkston, 84 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Friday, January 06, 2017 in Red Oak, Texas.
Pansy was born on February 03, 1932 in Waxahachie, Texas to the late J.H. & Freda Gardner Pinkston. She was raised in Forreston, Texas graduated from Forreston High School. After high school, she attended and played basketball for Wayland College, she later graduated from East Texas College in Commerce, Texas. After college, she coached basketball and taught school in Forreston, Texas, Booker, Texas and finished her career teaching in Lancaster, Texas. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and photography, but most of all, she was her mother's caregiver and helped raise several generations of nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by family, friends and all that knew her and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Patty Claire Wimbish and Dorothy Eloise Wimbish, two brother: Roger I. Pinkston and Jack Pinkston. She is survived by a host of family and friends.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Forreston Cemetery.
Visitation with the family is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 10:00 am prior to the service in the Chapel.
