Pamela Fudge

November 2, 1955 — September 25, 2021

Waco

We are here today to express our love and to honor the life of Pamela Fudge. As we know there were things that Pam struggles to do. She could not do so many things that we all take for granted every day. When some people looked at Pam that’s what they saw, the things she could not do. But that is not what we saw and that is not who she was. I’m sure that when her mom, dad, and family looked at her they seldom saw what she could not do. No, they saw what she could do. She could smile, she could laugh, she could feel unbridled happiness, she could show her love with never saying a word, few have that ability. There are so many that have that blessings that Pam never had, and yet don’t appreciate those blessings. The have good health but they take it for granted. They can walk but don’t know which way to go. They have arms but don’t know how to reach out to others. They can speak but don’t know how to tell others that they love them. That was not a problem for Pam. She could express her love and trust with a look or a smile. She could even express love by showing who she felt comfortable enough to spend time with. Love is not shared by words; love is much deeper that words. There were more things that she could do. She inspired others to try harder. By seeing her to work harder to overcome it reminds us to work harder as well. Pam took joy in simple things. Joy in seeing her family, joy in her baby dolls, joy in her jewelry or a TV show, workshop, and most of all eating. Pam showed us how to be strong. Strength is found in one that keeps on going, keeps trying, day after day, long after others give up. Pam gave us the gift of insight by showing us things that we might otherwise have missed. She helped us see the beautiful soul of her family that bore all of the caretaking tasks day after day, year after year. It shows a deep unrelenting love for a person to say if you need help, I will help you. If you cannot talk, I will be your voice. If you cannot stand, I will support you. If you cannot walk, I will carry you. Pam gave us the gift of unconditional love, to love and to be loved. Pam taught us how to love with out words. Finally, Pam gave us the gift of beauty. Her life wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t glamorous. Pam could only see the beauty past that. Beauty is in us all. Rain brings puddles storm clouds and mud. The rain also nourishes the earth, settles the seeds and gives them roots to grow. You may want to also look at the heavens and see the rainbow and remember that it is only because we have endured through the storm that we are lucky to see the rainbow. Pam was our rainbow through the tough times, thru the challenges and the pain. She shone thru with a special light. Pam was blessed from above. We can mourn the loss of her life and we can celebrate the life that she led and the lessons she gave us. For the best gifts she gave us was her life. She was a gift for all the ways she inspired us to be better and for all the love she gave while here with us. May we honor her memory as we look up to the sky, look past the clouds and see the rainbow. Special mention to Debbie McGowen and all that assisted Pam in her later years and that contributed to her health, happiness and growth. May God bless you all as you blessed him.
