Opal Preston

Opal L. Preston August 24, 1914 September 09. 2011 Opal L. Preston, 97 a lifelong resident of Ellis County, passed away Friday, September 09, 2011 in Waxahachie. She was born to the late Samuel V. and Lillie Arnold Sutton in Red Oak, Texas. Opal was a longtime member of the Ferris Ave. Baptist Church in Waxahachie. She worked for many years at Haggar Slacks as a machine operator until her retirement. She will be dearly missed by her friends and everyone who knew her and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe W. Preston, 1 daughter and a son Percy Q. Neal, Jr. She is survived by her friends and family. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, graveside at the Bells Chapel Cemetery in Rockett with Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow.
