Olga Cheney 71 of Desoto Texas passed away on Monday April 19, 2021 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas of cancer.

Olga was born on December 14, 1949 to Mr. and Mrs.  Felipe Lopez the 6th of ten children in Lytle, Texas. Olga  attended a business class earned a certificate and worked as a secretary. In June 1974 at Temple Lake Park, Olga met the love of her life Harry Cheney. After a short courtship, the pair were married on August 16, 1974 in Waxahachie Texas. The couple has 2 children Danielle Cheney Martinez of Forreston Texas, and Shaun Cheney his wife Tiffanie of Desoto Texas. Olga was grandmother to 12 grandchildren. Olga loved her family very much. Later in life Olga earned a nurses aid certification. She loved to care for people.

Olga was preceded in death by her parents Felipe and Antonia Lopez, her brothers Felipe Lopez, Lupe Lopez, Gerardo Lopez, Richard Lopez, and her sister Theodora Cantu.

Olga is survived by her husband of 46 years Harry Cheney, her 2 children Danielle Cheney Martinez of Forreston Texas, and Shaun Cheney and wife Tiffanie of Desoto Texas, her sisters Janice Montalbo of Buckholtz, Yolanda Castillo of Waxahachie Texas, Virginia Benevides and husband Joe of Waxahachie Texas, Mary Riley of Temple Texas, and Antonia Lopez of Pflugerville Texas. Olga is also survived by her 12 grandchildren Jordan Martinez US Air Force stationed in California, Marisa, Christian, Adrian, Dominic, Bianca, and Claudia Martinez all of Forreston Texas, Tristan and Brayden Cheney of Waxahachie Texas, Yampiel Gabriola, Jayden and Kayleb Cheney all of Desoto Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
