Ofilia Villarreal Gonzales was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and devoted Woman of God. She went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 28, 2022 at age 97.
She was born to Hepolito Villarreal and Guadalupe Ortegon on February 24, 1925, in Orelia, TX and soon the family moved to Pearsall, Texas. There, Ofilia met her husband and married in June 1941 and had three sons and two daughters. They worked as a family on cotton farms and devoted their free time serving in the church.
Ofilia enjoyed cooking for family, especially making stacks of tortillas for her grandchildren. She is known as a Prayer Warrior among family and friends and is the first one everyone calls to ask for prayer over them and their situation.
She is preceded in death by: Husband Jose Gonzales, Sons: Jose Jr., Eduardo, and Ricardo Gonzales.
She is survived by daughters: Ester Lopez and Yolanda Gutierrez, 14 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
A viewing is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022, and a homegoing service on Monday, November 7th at 10 a.m. at the Wayne Boze Funeral home located at 1826 US-287 BUS, Waxahachie, TX 75165 where we will proceed to the Red Oak Cemetery
