Novlyn Ussery

Novlyn Katherine Ussery, 90, of Waxahachie, Texas peacefully passed away June 9, 2020 in Waxahachie, Texas.

She was born to the late Fred Gurley Mozley September 25, 1929 in Dallas, Texas. Novlyn was a graduate of Highland Park High School in Dallas, received a diploma in Business and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waxahachie, Texas.

She married the late Eugene Ray Ussery in 1947 and lived in California before re-locating to Grand Prairie, Texas where they raised two daughters, Katherine Ann Sirchia and Cynthia Kay Bledsoe, both of Waxahachie, Texas. She is also survived by her two Sons-in-laws, Tony Sirchia and Lewis Bledsoe, 9 Grandchildren and their spouses and 16 Great – Grandchildren. Novlyn was predeceased by her beloved husband of 73 years in 2018 and her parents Fred G and Lenora H Mozley.

Novlyn was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Homemaker and Woman of God. She loved giving her time to the church and children’s Choir and could play any instrument. She loved working in the Garden watching her flowers bloom, was passionate about traveling Gods Country and especially Loved her time with all her Grandchildren as she called her added jewels. Her life was such a wonderful example of God’s Child and her life was well lived here on earth. Now she is in the arms of God and walking the streets of Gold.
