Noreene Jo "Autrey" Pierce, 65 of Waxahachie, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Monday, August 12, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Walter Lee and Helen Juricek Autrey on July 25, 1948 in Ennis, Texas. Noreene graduated high school from Waxahachie in 1966. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, the St. Joseph Altar Society and the KJZT of Texas. Noreene loved her family and spending time with them. She will be missed by so many who knew her and loved her. Noreene is survived by her loving mother, Helen Autrey of Waxahachie; her brother, Jerry Autrey of Waxahachie; her sisters, Nancy Bow and her husband, Tom of Waxahachie, Betty Fillman and her husband, Lonnie of Arkansas, Peggy Wright and her husband, Randy of Waxahachie; her nephews, Clint Autrey and his wife, Amy, Ben Bow and his wife, McKenzie, Rickey Brewer and his wife, Amy and Patrick and Kevin Wright; her nieces, Amanda Weaver and her husband, Kenny, Stephanie McClendon and her husband, Tilman; her great nephews, Cla, Austin and Adam Autrey, Tilman, II and Holland McClendon; her great nieces, Ainsley, Madison and Abby Brewer, Mia McClendon, Carly McKinney and Lacy Weaver; and many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wayne Pierce; her father, Lee Autrey; her sister-in-law, Barbara Autrey; her paternal grandparents, M.A. and Roxie Autrey; and her maternal grandparents, Rudolph and Rosie Juricek. Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Martin Moreno serving as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home with a Rosary Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Those serving as pallbearers include, Clint Autrey, Ben Bow, Rickey Brewer, Kenny Weaver, Patrick Wright, Kevin Wright and Steven Grier. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Odyssey Hospice for their wonderful compassion and care of Noreene during this difficult time.
