Nolan Joel Arney, 43, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away, Tuesday, June 25th, 2013, near his home. Funeral services are at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 29th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 2418 Brown St, Waxahachie, Texas 75165. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery in Waxahachie. Nolan was born September 5th, 1969 in Globe, Arizona to Victor and Kaaren Arney. He graduated from Globe High School, received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Northern Arizona University in 1994, and later completed his Master's Degree from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2003 in Educational and Leadership Policy. Nolan was employed as a teacher for the Dallas School District enjoying his opportunity to work with band, choir, general music, hand bells, and drama. He spent much of his free time enjoying his family, providing service for the Boy Scouts of America as well as service to his church and community. He enjoyed sailing, music, and the outdoors. He also was a dedicated member of the National Guard. Nolan is survived by his wife Rachael of Waxahachie, TX, his son Jett, daughter Jewel, and step-son Christian Gomez. He also leaves behind his father Victor Arney, step-mother Beth Arney, brothers Danny, Solon, Micah, Aaron, Aammon, Sam, Ben and sister Rachael. He was preceded in death by his mother Kaaren Arney. Nolan's family would like to honor the pallbearers and honorary pallbearers who played an important role in Nolan's life.
