Noe Garcia

Noe Garcia was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, leader, farmer, rancher, coach, a jokester. He loved spending time with family and friends and was passionate about projects that would serve his community. He was born February 13, 1941, in Edinburg, Texas and died peacefully at the age of 83 in his home surrounded by his family on August 5, 2024. 

There will be a rosary and celebration of life at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home on Thursday, August 8, 2024, between 7-9 pm. Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 9, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. 

Noe Garcia grew up in Los Garzas, Texas, and graduated from high school in Rio Grande City, Texas in 1961. After graduating from high school, he attended business school and joined the Army Reserves.

He married his high school sweetheart, Aurora Molina on October 17, 1964, in Rio Grande City, Texas, and they moved to Waxahachie. 

Noe Garcia worked at Owner’s Corning for 30 years, serving as supervisor for many of those years and retired in 1995. He worked in farming and ranching in his spare time and was very involved in his church with the Spanish choir. He was very instrumental in helping to raise funds to build the Catholic churches in Ferris and in Italy, Texas. In 2013, he received the Bishop’s Award for Service to the Church. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Winceslado Garcia, his mother, Trinidad Riojas Garcia; his siblings, Albert Garcia, Maria Elida Ramos, Estella Barron, Guadalupe Barreras, and Emma Riojas. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Aurora Garcia, his children Teresa Garcia McGee and her husband Terry McGee, Irene Garcia Haskett and her husband Shawn Haskett, Victor Noe Garica and his wife Erica Gutierrez Garcia, and Bonnie Garcia Hubbard; surviving siblings are Raul Garcia and his wife Mimi, Robert Garcia and his wife Naomi, John Garcia and his wife Annie, Mina Garcia and her husband Joe, Justa DeLeon, Laidy Vasquez, and Maria Olivia Pena; surviving grandchildren are Jordan Len Cunningham, Julia McGee, Sabrina Garcia, Marlo Garcia, Haley Hubbard, Jacey Hubbard, Brandon Gilliland and Joseph Gilliland; and great-grandchildren, Pheonix Sandoval, Gianna Buchunam, and Violet Loera.
