Nina Mae Collings Fautt was called home by her Lord and Saviour, Thursday, July 26, 2018. She passed away peacefully at Baylor Scott and White in Waxahachie, TX surrounded by her loved ones.
Nina was born in Sardis, TX on March 16, 1919. Her life was devoted to her Lord and her family. She worked for Lone Star Gas 20 years. She was a keypunch operator and retired as Manager of Data Entry in 1981. After retirement she spent her days taking care of her parents until their death. It seemed she was always taking care of someone, never complaining. Her home was always welcoming. Her daughter's best friends called her "momma" and the friends of her grandchildren called her "granny." She enjoyed playing chicken foot with her friends and going out to lunch with them. She was a big fan of the Texas Rangers.
Nina loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a faithful servant. She read her bible every day. Her faith was strong and she was ready when He called her home. She loved her church family at Northside Church of Christ and they loved her. She was a past member of College Street Church of Christ.
Those she left behind will miss her very much, but we rejoice knowing she is with her Lord, and her loved ones who have gone before her. Rest in peace our precious, sweet mother and granny, we love you.
Nina is survived by her children Jo Anne Boyd, Douglas Lee (Pat), grandchildren Donna Hoggard Glenn, Karen Hoggard Widner, Royce Lee Hoggard, Ray Devone Fautt Jackson, Howard Lee Fautt, Leigh Ann Fautt and Michael Wayne Fautt. 17 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur A. Collings and Emma Jane Tole Collings, her beloved husband Homer Lee, her sister Alta Lee Baugus, her brothers, John Douglas (JD) and Charles Ray, and her great great granddaughter Haylee Adair Hoggard.
