Neva Mae Masson 88 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Friday March 17, 2017 at the Red Oak Health and Rehabilitation in Red Oak, Texas. She waw born in Tallahassee, Florida to Robert C. Clardy and Elise Wallsmith Clardy on March 12, 1929.
Most of her life was spent in New Orleans, Louisiana. There, she grew up, met her husband and raised a family. God was central to their lives and they were faithful members of Riverside Baptist Church for 45 years, until after hurricane Katrina, at which time they uprooted their lives and moved to Waxahachie, Texas to be with the rest of the family for their sunset years. In Waxahachie they worshiped at First Baptist Church. Her husband passed in 2012 and she, after five years, went to be with him in Heaven for eternity with their Lord.
Neva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gabriel Emile Masson Jr. and her sister, Patsy Clardy Adams.
Neva Mae Masson is survived by her son, Bryan Masson, her daughter Donna Young, her son-in-law, Jerry Young and her grandson Ethan Young all of Waxahachie, Texas.
There will be a worship service in her memory on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:00AM at Francesca Chapel located at 308 N. Monroe St. in Waxahachie next door to First Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be Thursday March 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at the DFW National Cemetery located at Mountain Creek Pkwy.
