Neta Rea Granger was welcomed into Heaven on April 25, 2013 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Neta was born on May 13, 1937 in Douglas, Oklahoma to Frank and Lottie Grantz. She graduated from Douglas High School in Oklahoma and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Antioch University. Neta and her husband, Glenn, were married December 25, 1955 in Enid, Oklahoma. Throughout Neta's life, she dedicated herself to teaching students with special needs and to energetically serving her church home and area missions. Neta was an extremely caring and loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother and an amazing aunt. Neta is preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father and her eldest brother Alvin. Neta is survived by her devoted siblings and their spouses, Irene Goocher and her husband Chuck, Kathy Wilcox and her husband James and Mark Grantz and his wife Wendy. She is further survived by her son Johnny, granddaughter Chelsea and great-granddaughter Madison. Neta leaves behind nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and many friends. Neta had an unwavering faith in God, which she enthusiastically used to reach people in a deep and positive way. Commonly referred to as "Aunt Neat", her steadfast devotion to faith and family will endure as an example of how to live an abundant and joyful life here on Earth. Family, friends and others whose lives Neta touched are invited to the viewing from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, April 29, 2013 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, fellowship. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Fulton Cemetery in Walnut Springs, Texas with Scott Fenton and David Blagg officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
