Nellie Ruth "Ruthie" Hays December 10, 1919 July 13, 2011 Nellie Ruth "Ruthie" Hays, 91 of Waxahachie, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011 in Waxahachie. She was born to the late P.M. & Atsy Bishop Parks on December 10, 1919 in Oak Branch, Texas. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Waxahachie where she Volunteered in the nursery for many years. She was a longtime member of the Sunshine Club in Waxahachie, she loved her family, enjoyed taking care of the grandchildren and enjoyed traveling when she could. She will be dearly missed by her family and everyone who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son: Tom & Suzy Hays of Waxahachie, Tx., 2 Daughters: Carla & Bill Batka of Alexandria, Virginia and Emily Hays Everett of Waxahachie, Texas. 1 Brother: Tom and Janie Parks of Ferris, Texas; 7 Grandchildren: Justin Jones of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jason Jones of Arlington, Virginia, Hope Hays Zettler of West Jordan, Utah, Alan Hays of Waxahachie, Becky Mangan of Anandale, Virginia, Beverly Everett of Bemidji, Minnesota, Kristen Everett Waidler of Dallas, Tx., 15 Great Grandchildren: Numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Finis Hays in 1984; 1 sister: Ruby Parks, 3 Brothers; Walter, Julius and Jim Parks and 1 Grandson: Tommy Hays, Jr. in 1995. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with R.G. Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visistation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
