Nancy Ebel

Nancy Ann Ebel was born on January 6, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Willis (Bill) Woodrow and

Margaret Clare Winders. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Cedar Rapids

in 1958. She married Milford (Mick) Dean Ebel on February 21,1969. Nancy worked at several

libraries and at the Magnolia Banner News but her main occupation was being a homemaker, wife,

mother, and grandmother.

Nancy loved music. She sang with the Cedar Rapids Chapter of the Sweet Adelines for many years

and spent her free time reading books and watching musicals.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Clare Winders, her brother Michael Winders, and her loving husband Milford (Mick) Dean Ebel.

She is survived by her brother, David Winders, his wife Kathy, daughters, Kari Ebel Howton and

Lynn Elizabeth Horrighs, and their husbands Derek Howton and Joe Horrighs, grandchildren,

Jason, Lauren, Heather, and Nathan Howton, and Mikayla and Avery Horrighs.

Nancy left this world to rejoin Mick on February 9, 2022.

Nancy was a wonderful, loving person who touched many lives with her smile and laughter. She

will be missed by her family and friends.
