Muriel Faye Knox, 78 of Waxahachie, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 in Waxahachie. She was born to the late James and Lexie Bell Harris on October 30, 1937 in Hillsboro, Texas
Muriel was a medical technologist and X-Ray technician for over 40 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to music and making flower arrangements. Muriel loved taking care of her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed volunteering at Marvin Elementary and was very active at her church, where she was a member at the Waxahachie Bible Church.
She is survived by her husband, David Knox of Waxahachie; her son David Paul Knox of Waxahachie, her sister, Linda Williams of Cleburne; her twin brother, Earl Ray Harris of Cleburne; her sister-in-law, Nancy Harris of Conroe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lexie Bell and James Harris; her sisters, Catherine Horbeth, Helen Hill and Inez Williamson; and also by her brother, Travis Buddy Harris.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Waxahachie Bible Church with Pastor Bruce Zimmerman officiating.
A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
